About Kristi
Kristi Lomax is a native New Yorker (Jamaica, Queens) who now calls Los Angeles home. She’s a driving force in the soulful sound of the Los Angeles underground, as host of the weekly music program, One Track Mind, heard on progressive radio station KPFK. Her adventurous mix of music earned her an L.A. Weekly Music Award Nomination for Best Radio Show and a feature in the electronic music magazine, XLR8R.
A champion of house music, Kristi keeps Angelenos on point with the clubs, spinning the latest dance records and offering conversations with the biggest names in house music, including Joe Claussell, Louie Vega (MAW), Osunlade, Ron Trent, and Quentin Harris. Les Nubians, Amel Larrieux, Rachelle Ferrell, Vikter Duplaix, Charlie Dark (Attica Blues), Kim Hill, and Julie Dexter have also stopped by for interviews and guest DJ sets.
From the airwaves to the dance floor, Kristi energizes L.A. nightlife. Sweat inducing house parties Soul Heaven (LA) and House & Home are a testament to both her passion for the genre and her ability to rock a crowd. She continues to DJ at various venues around Los Angeles, has played at the Sundance Film Festival, and provided programming for the Red Bull Music Academy.
Production is the latest step in her musical evolution and Kristi is currently in the studio working on remixes and original material.
One Track Mind can be heard every Friday night, 10:00 PM to Midnight (PST), on 90.7 KPFK, or archived at www.kpfk.org.

Growing up classis soul music has always been the best for me. When i started working 2nd shift at my company I started listening to your show. I have never liked house music until I heard you show. You play the best music I ever heard! Luv it…Luv it. Keep pumping those tunes!
I’m glad the show is helping you get through the late nites on the job, but I’m very pleased to know that your ear is now in tune with the genre of house music. It is vast, deep, and full of soul.
