I know DJ Chaka as the “broken beat guy”. Whenever I want to know what’s going on in the world of broken or bruk, he’s one of two people I reach out to. January 20th marks the 2 year anniversary of Tighten Up, the monthly party he runs with DJ partner Yosaku. I thought this mix was going to be a broken beat extravaganza, but he totally surprised me.
